An Exceptional Reconstruction in the Heart of Košice: Pošta 1930
One of the most significant functionalist buildings in Košice has undergone a comprehensive reconstruction, giving it a new lease on life and expanding its potential for future use. The Pošta 1930 project demonstrates how a sensitive restoration can preserve the historical value of a building while adapting it to meet contemporary needs.
The investor approached the reconstruction with great respect for the building’s architectural heritage, aiming to create modern, high-quality spaces in the heart of the city. The result is a building that has retained its unique character while meeting the demands of modern-day use.
Our company, BAUSKA, s.r.o., had the opportunity to participate in the reconstruction of this remarkable landmark. The project was particularly demanding, not only because of its technical complexity but also due to the need to preserve and restore many original architectural elements that define the building’s distinctive identity. Thanks to the joint efforts of everyone involved, the building now successfully bridges the past and the future and once again stands among Košice’s most important architectural landmarks.
